Well, I didn't get to sleep in like I wanted to. Nothing new. When the son is up on the weekends, I'm up. It's hard to sleep through cartoons.

I don't think I'm going to have Mom drive Matthew to his friend's house to go see the movies. It's way the hell on the other side of town! Plus, she'd have to take the freeway and that is never good. Ever heard the saying "Blue Hair, White Knuckles"? Well she doesn't have blue hair and can actually see over the steering wheel in my truck but she doesn't like the Interstate at all. He's going to be disappointed in me but I just can't ask her to do it. Plus, she runs so many errands for everyone all of the time that she's trying to make time for herself on the weekends. She like quilting, working in the yard, messing around with her plants and stuff but never seems to get any time to do it. I agree with her. I think it's only fair that the weekends belong to her. This way, if she gets a breakfast invitation from Lucky then she can go without worrying about having to get Joyce's groceries at 10am or something like that.

I want to do a few things today. I need to go to the bank. I need to go get the water bottles filled. I want to put my arches up over the Bougainvillas in my front yard. I want to get the hems fixed on a few of my summer shirts that I really like to wear. I want to get this damn house cleaned up now that Scotty is gone. I want to work on my cross-stitch a bit then try my hand at making the jewelry. I may just take Matthew to rent a few movies that he wants to watch. We'll see how the day progresses.
